Men’s Basketball Triumphs
On February 2, 2025, the Razorbacks secured a significant 89-79 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats at Rupp Arena. This game was particularly noteworthy as it marked the return of former Kentucky coach John Calipari, now leading Arkansas, to his former home court. Adou Thiero, a former Kentucky player, led the Razorbacks with 21 points and eight rebounds, while D.J. Wagner, another former Wildcat, contributed 17 points and eight assists. The team showcased impressive shooting, hitting 55.2% from the field and 52% from three-point range.
Building on this momentum, Arkansas defeated the Texas Longhorns 78-70 on February 6, 2025, in Austin. Johnell Davis led the team with a season-high 24 points. On November 1, 2024, the No. 3 Arkansas men’s cross country team defended its SEC Championship title, achieving a score of 38 points. Senior Patrick Kiprop led the team by winning the individual title with a course-record time of 21 minutes, 57.1 seconds over the 8,000-meter course at Texas A&M’s Watts facility.
Football Honors
